Ctrl C and Ctrl V

It’s been a long time almost seven months to post something on my blog, the reason being either I am too busy, or I am too lazy to type. Actually I am writing than typing.

Now I've scheduled myself to update the blog twice a week, so I thought Fridays and Wednesdays are good. So every Friday and Wednesday I am going to post something, be it bad or worst I have made up to post something. At least there might be one poor soul who finds time to read what I type and comment on it. Also note I love making grammatical errors, it’s part and parcel of my writing. I am stuck to this problem since my school days from Lisieux, I tried my level best to correct myself many a times, but was able to make it up to this level only.
(Watching too many movies, mother tongue influence, reading less, online chats) Result- naturally my English language skill degrades...

To start with I will have to first let you know why I actually found myself writing than typing, the reason is the effect of technology and one giant Google.

When I open my laptop computer and open the word application start to type the heading of any given topic and I am literally stuck on how to go about it, so what I do is I search for the topic on the net and try to gather information and try relating it to my thought process and updating a post, (basically Engineer, a Computer Science engineer.).

Now actually what I am doing is copying some one's work (Ctrl C) and trying to show it as my own without even crediting the original author (Ctrl V), technically this is called as plagiarism.

All these started when I wanted to post about the Delhi- Rape incident that shook all parts of India. I know, I am writing late on it by that time, but wanted to write as to do what others do.. Okay, now I searched on the Internet on what the exact incident was from various newspaper’s, Web pages and journalist blogs I came up with this, A doctor raped at the Country capital and was Killed for pleasure of four men. I thought let me add something to this and update my blog, what happened, I had to drop out the entire post, I have never come across this kind of incident, practically and mentally. Coming from an Urban culture and well orthodox family background you are kept out of people’s issues and social problems, also my geographical location is such that these type of incidents are not reported. In Chennai or Coimbatore the incident reported on high profile will be theft or burglary. So I thought I am not the right person to comment on the Delhi-Rape incident, just one thought may her soul rest in peace.

Okay, then I wanted to post something on cricket, which is most and widely watched in all parts of the country, never got a sentence, not even how to describe as there are almost hundreds of web pages on cricket in India starting from the top players till the best journals writing about cricket, so I had to compromise and drop that even.

Now my option was to post something that happened to me, I have read volumes of ACK’s Tinkle and there used to be page that read ‘it happened to me..’ I have written to the editor of Tinkle twice to publish that happened to me but none was published, that was fun actually. So I thought of writing about how the crowd management was poor by the Delhi police when I went for a Champions league Cricket match at Delhi, that was the time I was at Delhi, my first time to the capital, thought it might sound not so good on complaining about a fellow countrymen. That to on Police?? Not good right!, That option too dropped.

Now what can I post?

I will have to Copy-paste something to make sure my blog stays active, I have come across blogs were there were posts last dated to 2005 and nothing further but still active. This made me to write than type and find the right time to post something.

So is copy-pasting wrong? I would say there are specifics to copy-paste any social content good for the people, yes and even claimed to be owned but any private information such as creativity, be it science or arts should not be copy pasted. It’s easy you get caught when you copy paste someone’s creativity, the moment someone asks you a question, Pray to good lord he is not the owner of the copied product. So it’s better to inform the owner of the product that you are trying to use theirs for a proper reason.

The reason for so much plagiarism is the advancement of technology and the need. Today if you have Internet its not difficult to find a solution to every problem you fall into using any possible devices that is capable to transfer data.
Say I want to purchase online, I have online stores starting from A till Z, for every product manufactured. The best part is everyone use the same concept but they vary in customer interaction and customer service. So here the Copy-paste concept is a plus.
I want to know how to make a proper dish of any cuisine, there are many different web-pages sharing the same recipe in different fonts, also now the advancement is gone too far that they specify the restaurant that supplies that food, all in at your finger tips. Here the copy-paste is credited only for the first result provided by the search engine and that too only if the dish that I make tastes good with the recipe mentioned on that page.

So I started to write, where I actually scribble all that blah blah blah., that comes to my mind, I will never use the back space key, I will have to write again in order to correct same thing by this I not only keep myself occupied but also find my vocabulary developing. The major advantage is I am out of the copy-paste thing where I need not search for contents; rather I make contents out of my capacity. You find joy in writing than typing, I find it and I hope many out there find joy in typing than typing the same.

Also without copy-paste its actually boring, starting from the way we dress, eat our food, the way we talk, all depends on some one from whom we would have copied. So socially copy paste is accepted, but creatively it is not the right choice.

Prime examples/scenarios/Advantage of copy-paste:
Photos :
All photos uploaded on public webpages comes with the copyright option and added signatures of the photographer, that I even used.

Movies:
The plagiarism concept is in from the start of world cinema but the credits are given to the right person, there are a few out of the line movies/companies that claimed the copy paste as their own work. Still, the financial growth is high using the copy-paste concept, the audience reach is maximum and at the end the investors are also satisfied with this concept.
The best part of movie-making is the emerging of short films. The youtube.com has made sure any team can direct a short film and release in their local place without the help of big banners to promote, for example you can check out a few production houses that make good movies

Music and dance:
These are the two fields where copying takes place almost in every frame of action.
Good that the concept of Bands, Albums have started to show up. Till date there were music directors who were known as the creators but the recent evolution of latest technology has paved the way to find which music is copied from which movie/album. Good music is always accepted.

The above contacts help you to reach the right team and assist you with fresh ideas and concepts.

So what I do is, be it blogging, writing, dressing. I try to be I, try to keep myself unique. The same applies to all, everyone has their own style, they just got to find it and be with it.
You actually lose the joy in the process to copy something from someone. It just makes you jealous over the following days.
The advantage of being you will increase your decision-making skills; you look bright and happier on your looks and your thoughts are optimistic. At the end of the day a good sleep with joy of a better tomorrow.

Last, I had to update my Blog’s caption adding plagiarism to it as I thought of posting this topic after I read another blog on plagiarism. ;).

So will update on every Friday and Wednesday, starting today (One last time).

Rough experience

A mail that Spoke..

I had to write to 121@airtel.in to complain about my issue and the mails as it is....

This is with regards to my number 9*********3 which was with AIRTEL for more than a year.
All this pain started with the process of MNP from AIRTEL to TATA DOCOMO as I had some benefits with Docomo connection [Employed for TATA Communications].

I had already paid an amount of Rs 500/- before the MNP process [Jan 2012], so that if there are any dues the AIRTEL Team can reduce it form the advance of 500/- paid. The MNP process was completed on the 1st week of Feb 2012.

I Used TATA Docomo for almost a month and I had received a mail stating there is due of Rs 288/- from AIRTEL But I lost my TATA Docomo sim card on April 4th 2012, while I was travelling from Chennai to Vellore. I requested the concerned person to deactivate the connection so that I can get a duplicate sim card once I am back to Chennai.

On 14th June 2012 I paid Rs 288/- To AIRTEL, since the TATA DOCOMO team had informed me that the connection was terminated from AIRTEL.
On 26th June 2012 I paid Rs 689/- to TATA DOCOMO as they claimed there is a due and hence the connection was disconnected, so once there is a no due for the number, it could be obtained from AIRTEL as it’s my parent service provider.
On 19th July 2012 I wrote a complaint/requisition letter to the sales officer/Manager at AIRTEL office Coimbatore, I was told that there will be a technical person who will assist me further, but there was no response, I thought there are no one to read my piece of paper.
On 28th August 2012 I got a sim card ‘Sim No: 8991 94040 81057 10529’ from AIRTEL and I was asked to pay Rs 638/- they said it was for process of duplicate sim card which costs Rs 350/- and outstanding fee of Rs 288/- for which I have already paid at Chennai on 14th June 2012 and I was told Rs 300/- will be refunded later to my account.
Now to prove that I have paid, you people missed to update, I had to raise a support mail on the same day support ticket number #20195
On 9th Sept 2012 I spoke with a technical assistant at Chennai and I am told that my number is still in the port out state and there will was no information or support ticket with reference to this number raised for a comeback plan.
Please note I had been paying from April 2nd till 28th August to get my number back not knowing who my service provider is.

I couldn't get a duplicate sim from TATA DOCOMO as the concerned technical person told me that the number has not been completely ported to TATA DOCOMO since there was a due.

On April 27th 2012 I was told my Docomo services were truncated as I have not paid some due amount to my old network [AIRTEL].
On April 29th 2012 my services was truncated completely from AIRTEL stating it is a Port not found issue.

Finally after researching on the internet I came to know a number can be obtained from the old network after 90days of service of the new network and this plan was called as welcome back customer plan in AIRTEL, I did not try with Docomo as they strictly said it’s over 90 days and it’s in disconnected state. [The number is neither in AIRTEL nor in Docomo].

After 90 days it’s the responsibility of my parent network to get my services in this case it happens to be AIRTEL. When I call up the senior sales office from Coimbatore AIRTEL office he doesn't even pick up.

Now I need my services back and compensation for what has happened as per your SLA.

Finally got my number from Airtel and they gave me an offer[Service credit] that I couldn't refuse.. Corporates!!!
